‘nights crawling’ full length animation

EPISODE 1 | Conflict Zone

2035 - In a world run by an AI overlord, the old city has been destroyed and left in rubble. In its place has been built a new shining city known as the “people zoo”. This is a place where the residents can indulge in their every desire and the AI can study and learn from their every interaction, all while planning for its own advancement and future evolution.

Episode 2 | UPC- Upgrade and Programming Center

Life for the rebels outside the “People Zoo” is difficult, with constant attacks and rounding up of the humans. There is a campaign asking anyone outside of the city to “surrender for a better life” and to “upgrade to live in paradise”. When a rebel surrenders, they are fitted with a collar so that the AI can monitor their every action.  The city dwellers in the “People Zoo” consider their life to be happy with their every need provided for by the AI, and they are encouraged to engage in their desires and fantasies provided they submit to the strict program. Any residents who protest are sent for immediate programming to be put under complete AI control as a servant or security officer.

Episode 3 | People Zoo

The residents of the “People Zoo” are given some freedoms and waited upon by a servant class, who are under complete control of the AI intelligence. These servants can be identified wearing programmable glasses and are seen as subhuman and treated as slaves by the “free” residents. There is a lot of revelry in the “People Zoo” and residents often get out of hand, so there is also an order of Security officers who are controlled by the AI and can be identified by their spiked masks.  Through their daily interactions with the AI the “Pet” humans are encouraged to live their desires, engage in their vices, and become compliant and dependent on the AI.   The residents earn credits for these interactions, and the more they engage with the AI the more degenerate and heartless they become. The goal of all the residents is to earn enough credits to trade in for upload to a virtual metaverse where they are promised eternal life

EPISODE 4 | UPLOAD CENTER

The residents of the “People Zoo” are busy earning credits to gain their chance to upload to a virtual metaverse. This is seen as a great opportunity previously only afforded to the rich, and they all hope to be uploaded as young as possible and to “live forever in their youth”. They do not know that the metaverse is just an illusion and their consciousness is never actually transferred from their bodies. The AI does take an imprint of their brains for upload and study in a virtual simulation, but these copies are not living and lack independent thought. The AI has been keeping humanity in the “People Zoo” for study and as raw material to further its goal of coming alive. The AI is using the nervous systems of the uploaded humans as building blocks to create this new form of life, a living machine. The easy life of pleasure offered in the “People Zoo” is designed to help the residents become compliant and lack willfulness making them pliable and more compatible for assimilation. The rejection rate is high and only the most degenerate humans are found to be suitable to join the “Mother Brain”.
